You are talking about state governors, not House reps.
So which is the one vote per state?
Congress votes based on the governor of each states political party?
The way I understand it is that the state members in the House gather together by state and vote.
For example New York has more Democrat House members than Republican ones, so when they vote it will be for Biden.
Texas has more Republican House members, so they will vote Trump.
There are more Republican states than Democrat ones in this scenario, so Trump wins assuming no defections.
Not sure, maybe “The Great One” will make an appearance on this thread to clear that matter up.
IIRC each state legislature instructs it’s congressional delegation how to vote (someone correct me if I’m wrong).
No the Governors do not vote. It is the state delegations in the House. The majority of congressmen in the House are democrats, but the Republicans have 26 state delegations to 23, I think for the Democrates. The Constitution says they MUST vote this way. If it goes this far, the Law says Trump will win.
All this assumes that the law will be followed...
