PITTSBURGH - Mail-in ballots continue to be the focus of the Allegheny County election officials.
Bins of ballots are being reviewed by the Division Manager and Deputy Divisions Manager in front of observers, according to Allegheny County officials. The ballots are being sorted into two piles: ballots which can’t be resolved, and another for ballots that will need more research. Those ballots will be reviewed to see if a resolution is possible.
Election officials are also taking a look through the ballots returned by voters who got an incorrect and corrected ballot. Those ballots are matched against the incorrect ballots. They will be reviewed to make sure that anyone who voted in person will not also have their incorrect ballot voted.
Elections employees pulled the precinct-level scanners from a handful of precincts because the memory sticks remain in those scanners. In most cases, the votes are already contained in results as they were entered using the machine tapes, county officials said.
There are 26 representatives of candidates and parties observing the vote counting process. Of those, seven are Democratic, 17 are Republican and there are two representatives from Congress.

bob casey (of pittsburgh? or perhaps somewhere nearby) was frequently on cnn insisting that there was no election fraud happening in allegheny county, and blaming republicans for having hindered the mail in ballot counting, preventing it from starting until election day.
now bob casey is congratulating himself and gladhandling everyone else over the upcoming biden presidency, without discussing any of the allegations about election fraud.

BTW this is apparently the former pittsburgh herald tribune newspaper, formerly owned by conservative multi-millionaire richard mellon scaife (now deceased).
