It was the tweets. Seriously, Trump would have won so many more votes if he just modulated his personality and been more like he was during that 2nd Debate all the time. Still a strong and bold leader but without the anger and petty name calling.

Suburban women wanted the drama to end. They wanted the tweets to end. I know this because I’m married to a Republican who refused to vote for Trump. Nothing I could do to persuade her. She agreed on policy. She loved the policy. But the disgust at his personality was VISCERAL and EMOTIONAL and there was no convincing her. She wrote in Ronald Reagan.

She agreed on policy. She loved the policy.

That's all that should ever matter. Personality is not what politics is about, and the future is not about personality, and policies that make your life and that of your family better, is all that should matter.

Your post explains why women in positions of power don't accomplish anything of substance when it comes to geopolitics and great leaps forward in civilization in terms of science and economics.

If Martha Washington had been in charge of Mount Vernon instead of George, the U.S. and Canada would be a massive British colony right now.

Your wife should be ashamed of herself. Her incredibly irrational and childish actions make her a traitor.

I guess the both of you are cheering for Pedo Joe to succeed in stealing the election.

SHAME!!

I agree.

People at FR hate it, but they can’t avoid the importance of perception. Actually, it is VERY important as it can affect policy-making with legislators and foreign admins.

Unlike your wife, I vote for him anyway because there is no other choice. Generally I like his policy but I wish he’d handle it better.

But bottom line, Trump has proven it doesn’t matter what the superfans think, reality is that it irritates most people. That has probably cost us the election.
