Georgia Could Decide Control of the Senate

THE BATTLE FOR THE Senate is all but certain to come down to Georgia as the close race for Republican Sen. David Perdue's seat likely heads to a runoff election, heightening the chance that the balance of power could be in limbo until January.

As the race tightened on Thursday, Perdue fell below 50% in his competitive race against Democrat Jon Ossoff. When no candidate clinches a majority of the vote in Georgia, the top-two vote getters compete in a runoff on Jan. 5. With four uncalled races, the Senate breakdown currently stands at 48-48, according to The Associated Press.

Trump's only leverage against McConnell and Cornyn's treachery is to call for MAGA to stay home and not vote in the Georgia Senate runoffs. Trump needs to make that threat to Turtle and Cornhole right now.

I don’t think Trump really needs leverage. The Senate GOP contingent has plenty of incentive to keep control as it is. But, it is going to take a lot of effort and money to keep those two seats. GA legislature should take steps to ensure the security of the ballots.

If we don’t factor fraud into the equation (yeah, i know). I think the GOP wins these easily. If the theory holds that a lot of centrist Republicans and Democrats are uncomfortable with Biden and a Rat Senate, then I think they vote for the Republicans here, I think they’ll both win by at least 3 or 4 points, even with fraud factored in.
