Nonsense, Egypt knows Islamists, the Brotherhood their particular worry, will be empowered. And as do other states in the region recognizes the US isn't necessarily a reliable ally, since their support is contingent on internal US politics. An administration changes, the US position on what is a life or death struggle for the Egyptian administration changes. We'll see what Joe does, but undoing Trumps progress in the middle east will set the region on a path to war.

I would prefer that. Still, The President’s foreign policy in the region succeeded because he recognized reality. GWB talked about “reality on the ground” whatever that is. President Trump recognized reality, as I suspect does not only the government of Israel, but those of the Gulf states. My opinion, Biden wouldn’t recognize reality, other than the reality of political and familial opportunism, if it stared him in the face. Different worldview than what’s required in a President.
