This is probably the best strategy. Get hard evidence of the fraud, even if it can't be reversed due to all the ballots now being mixed together, then directly select the electors. I haven't thought this all the way through yet, so I'd welcome a thoughtful response.

Yes, enough evidence to show that there is massive corruption of the process and not enough time to unravel the mess before the EC deadline should be enough. They just need to be made more afraid of the citizenry than Antifa, and they’ll do the right thing.
