Democrats spent more than a quarter of a billion dollars in a futile bid to pick up longshot Senate seats in Kentucky, South Carolina, and Texas.
The campaigns of Kentucky's Amy McGrath, South Carolina's Jaime Harrison, and Texas's M.J. Hegar burned through nearly $200 million, and outside groups backing them spent an additional $60 million boosting the three candidates.
The figure dwarfs the total amount spent in the 1996 presidential raceBill Clinton, Bob Dole, and Ross Perot combined to spend less than $240 million. The influx of cash, however, failed to woo voters, as Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R., Ky.), Sen. Lindsey Graham (R., S.C.), and Sen. John Cornyn (R., Texas) each won their races by double digits.
The money could have been put to use in North Carolina. Democratic Senate nominee Cal Cunninghamwho spent less than $47 million on his race as of October 14trailed Sen. Thom Tillis (R.) by less than 100,000 votes late Tuesday evening.
The sewers will be clogged today with Dem money.
Soros spent
It was donor money...
Pocket change. Designed to make Pubbies take resources away from other areas.
I wonder how much Mini Mike lost in total.
The Dems always have plenty of money. In fact, they have more money than they know what to do with. Same thing will happen in 2022, 2024, etc.
Think how that money could have been used to feed the poor and house the homeless.
China money. Businesses that want access to China know to make donations the Chinese will approve of. The Cheap Labor Express has a lot of $$$$$$ to spend because it is cheaper than paying Americans.
Senate R but Trump loses?
I think ever Joe Biden would agree that this does not pass the SNIFF test.
The Democrats figure if they can put the corrupt thief Biden in the White House, they will soon get all that money back and much more. Really makes you enthusiastic to pay taxes, doesn’t it? Any productive person who voted Democrat is a fool and deserves to be fleeced.
The Dems spent it, but the money was likely the ChiComs’ and Euroweenies’.
They spent a fortune here in KS and lost big too.
If Dems lost long-shot Senate races, does it not stand to reason they would also lose their bid to take over the Executive branch?
So what do you all think about all this money in politics? My husband and I argue about it all the time, I did not like the McCain/Feingold bill stifling free speech, which literally is campaign speech. What about it, no outside money in races or all without limit?
The spent the money for new Lefties for whom they wanted to buy their seats. It - the money - was Lefty agenda money more than “Democrat” money, no matter the party label of everyone involved.
The Joker is more principled than the Democrats.
