Under RCV Link’s votes might go to Collins.
I would much rather have a useless mush like Collins and keep the majority than lose it to a liberal democrat.
OR it made no difference.
I remember how Trump dipped 8 points in the polls after announcing he was gonna replace rbg with Barrett.
Still too many on the right think that surrendering ever somehow justifies the end.
Yeah you pick your battles, but this was a huge one and I think she would be in the same spot even without her cowardly move.
As long as she remains above 51% she’s safe
Can’t say this “victim” has got me too incredibly heartbroken...
Collins would be the second victim (first Senator). We lost a good conservative Congressman, Bruce Poliquin in 2016 when RCV first kicked in.
Its some if Collins gets 50+ 1 she wins and dems cannot take Senate, period. If she wins with less than 50 she loses with rank voting, still good chance to keep senate, but much easier to lose it.
Headline is wrong. She would be the second victim. Bruce Poliquin two years ago was the first victim.
Last results I saw has her leading 50.7 to 42.6% with 80% reporting. Maine’s largest city, Portling has reported 100% including absentee/early voting so the one place that could hurt her is already in.
Even if she goes below 50%, it is likely the first round of ranking will put her over 50%.
Susan got almost 2,200 more votes in Portland than Donald Trump.
We needed her for kavanaugh, but not for ACB. We need her to keep her Republican senate seat.
Not a Collins fan, but voted for her. Congrats to her and her team.
I would imagine there will be some folks who don’t vote for a second choice in round 2,nd some of Linn’s will go to her. so she’ll probably hang on and win.
Last I heard 160 million spent on this race. Amazing.
You bet on a winning horse and the horse wins. Oh boy! But wait... your horse only won 49% of the betting pool. The second and third horses got 51% collectively. You lose. Are you fucking shitting me?
