WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Democrats are defending their majority in the U.S. House of Representatives in Tuesdays election.
Here are eight interesting races to watch, including several of the most closely fought contests:
COLORADOS 3RD DISTRICT
Republican Lauren Boebert, a pistol-packing gun rights activist who defied coronavirus restrictions to open her restaurant, spoke warmly of the unfounded online conspiracy theory QAnon in May, but later said Im not a follower. She faces Democrat Diane Mitsch Bush, a university professor, in a largely rural district encompassing western Colorado.

Kevin McCarthy has done a fair job as Minority Leader. If the House were to flip who would be chosen as Speaker? Not, who you want -- but instead who do you expect to be chosen.
Something else to discuss on Election Day besides the Presidential choice.
Republican Stephanie Bice should take back Oklahomas 5th district from Democrat Kendra Horn. May be close but pretty sure Trumps coattails will insure it.
A flip is unlikely according to most with a smaller Dem majority the likely outcome to most. But it does not take a lot of change to make a flip. With your race it is getting closer to possible.
Does Laura Loomer have any chance against hag Lois Frankel?
Another to add to the list.
Hopefully GA-06 flips if Trump’s coattails are long enough to help Handel across the finish line. It’s sad that Newt’s old district is represented by a Nazi Pelosi clone.
Horn took the seat in 2018 off year election partly because Republican incumbent Russell didnt campaign hard enough.
So far this year Republicans in Oklahoma have registered 120,000 plus new voters while Democrats have only added 12,000. That is a 10 to 1 ratio. And now Republicans lead in total registrations in Oklahoma.
Voter turnout today is insane.
I’m hoping for Joe Collins in Los Angeles and Kim Klacik in Baltimore.
Actually praying for it.
Another district to watch to watch is Indiana 5. Republican Susan Brooks is retiring at the end of this term, and the fight is between Republican State Sen. Victoria Sparks and Democrat House Rep. Christina Hale. The Pelousi PACs have poured big money into this contest and are looking to take away a long-time Republican seat. Much of the district’s population is in Hamilton County (suburban north Indy) and has been heavily Republican; two years ago I would have said “no way a democrat wins.” But the demographics are changing, and the democrat locusts fleeing their democrat sh**holes have brought their sh**hole politics with them. Last year they scored some upset wins in the municipal elections, and they are surging.
Oregon 4. A lot of college kids my be away.
Good point.
Any expectations if the Minority Leader gets the Speakership should it flip?
NH 1 is a very possible flip. Pappas (the D incumbent) inspires no confidence and Mowers has a good chance.
Very likely - 75% or better.
Very likely - 75% or better.
Not really. First things first. That is lets take the house. We are trying to do our part in Oklahoma.
GOOD!!!
The five CA Seats will tell the tail.
