Reporting from People’s Democratic Republic of Northern Virginia. Arrived at polling station 30 minutes early. Small line - nothing like 2016, 2012 or 2008. Perhaps because of early voting. Democrat guy showed up and started putting signs and an information table right next to the building. Poll workers told him it was against the rules to be that close and he needed to be at the end of the parking lot. He started arguing loudly with them! They finally just let him stay. Republicans showed up and quietly took their signs and tables to the end of the parking lot. I was in and out in 10 minutes. Line still wasn’t that long.

Having worked as a Chief of Precinct in Fairfax Co., they are violating state election law by having their table that close. The Chief of Precinct should not have backed down. Normally the Chief is the same party as the governor while the assistant Chief is the other party (Republican).

The election officials should be able to get them to move, if not they have the official power to call the police to have that law enforced.

You might consider contacting local Republican HQ to have them follow up on it.
