Court Document Shows Joe Biden Listed as Possible Witness With Son in Fraud Case
Real Clear Investigations ^ | 11/02/2020 | Paul Sperry

A federal judge named Joe Biden as a possible “witness” along with his son Hunter in a criminal fraud case last year that ended in the convictions of two of Hunter’s business partners, according to little-noticed court documents. The Democratic presidential candidate’s appearance on a witness list casts new doubt on his claims he knew nothing about his son’s shady business dealings.

Hunter Biden blamed one of his convicted partners — Devon Archer — for his father's name appearing on a list of potential witnesses in a juror questionnaire in the case, which was filed Jan. 11, 2019.

In a 47-minute recording recovered from his abandoned laptop, an agitated Hunter can be heard grousing about calls he’s been getting from his father, who apparently was upset with the developments as he prepared to launch his campaign for the White House.

And I am receiving calls from the U.S. attorney’s office [because] my best friend Devon has named me as a witness without telling me in a criminal case — and my father — without telling me,” Hunter said in the May 11, 2018, recording, which is believed to be an audiotape of a conversation the troubled son had with an unnamed woman.

Before impaneling a jury in the fraud case, U.S. District Judge Ronnie Abrams of New York asked jurors if they had any dealings with individuals on a list that she provided “whose names may come up during the trial or who may be witnesses in the case.” Joe Biden’s name appears above his son’s on a list of dozens of individuals who might pose a conflict for prospective jurors selected from the jury pool, according to the document titled “Questions for Jurors.”

I never thought it possible that a presidential candidate could have been a bigger criminal than Hillary Clinton.

Looks like Joe Biden is proving that theory all wrong.

Merely being “listed as a possible witness” doesn’t really mean anything. And the case is closed, I don’t think Joe was called.

Why would he be a witness instead of a defendant?

This POS has been full of crap since his first wife was killed in a non-fault traffic accident. Since he was behind in nhis run for the Senate he made up a falsehood that the driver was drunk. The family pleaded with him to tell the truth but not Joe. He played the sympathy card even though it was a blatant lie. Since then he has had a series of bad breaks and the karma from all his lies is catching up with him. He will live a ffew more years in poor health while virtually the world learns that he is nothing but a liar and a crook selling access to our enemies.

"A federal judge named Joe Biden as a possible"

The Federal Judge was named Joe Biden, what a coincidence.

Yes, I know what was meant. It should have read: A federal Judge has named Joe Biden as a possible...

What it means is that Joe likely had knowledge of the case. This was about the Tribal Bond scam that Archer, Cooney, Galanis and other partners of Hunter used the Biden family name and influence to scam investors. It reinforces the claims that Joe was more familiar with Hunter's business deals and his partners than he admits.

No, doesn't imply anything.

Note this in the article:

“..Derkach claimed “the Bidens were suspicious, but disappeared along the way, together with another $44 million dollars, which was the main part of the bribe.”

“Everyone made good money. Even stranger is the absence of Biden’s name in the case in which he definitely appears, according to NABU Director (Artem) Sytnyk, who does not want to interfere in international political processes. ..”

We can start a pool if Biden is called as a witness.

How many times he pleads the Fifth Amendment.

And we could also have a pool for how many times he says “I don’t recall”.

He can’t be. He doesn’t have the ability to be a competent witness.

The case is over and Joe wasn't called. I think all those prosecuted either plea bargained or were convicted. One of them, Bevan Cooney, was the guy who gave his e-mail address and password to Breitbart's Peter Schweizer and Matthew Tyrmand...
