OP-ED: President Donald J. Trump — My Message to Black America
https://www.dallasweekly.com ^ | Oct 30, 2020 | President Donald J. Trump

In 2016, I had a straightforward question for Black Americans: “What do you have to lose?

Black Americans don’t have to ask what they have to lose in 2020. Instead, the question should now be, “how much more do we have to gain?”

As your President, I’ve done more for the Black community than Democrats like Joe Biden have done in 47 years, and we are going to do so much more. As part of our efforts, we’ve unveiled my second term agenda called the “Platinum Plan” for Black Economic Empowerment, to ensure even more Black Americans have the opportunity to succeed over the next four years.

The plan is built around the pillars of opportunity, security, prosperity and fairness. I’ve committed to adding 3 million new jobs for the Black community, creating 500,000 new Black-owned businesses and increasing access to capital in Black communities by almost $500 Billion to create an era of new prosperity and to finally close the wealth gap.

We are increasing access to capital and economic empowerment for the Black community as a way to build Black generational wealth.

I knew that I could do more for Black America than the Democrat Party has ever done because I am about action...

Put it on your FB page and share before FB yanks it for violation of their community standards.

Important message for Black America, but why is it in an obscure publication like The Dallas Weekly? Seems like he could have gotten in a national publication or on a national website. Maybe he did, and I just haven’t noticed yet.

Unfortunately, a lot of it sounds a lot like Affirmative Action, i.e., racial discrimination.

How many black households saw their tax bill go down under the Trump tax cuts? How much did the unemployment rate for blacks go down because of the Trump economy? How many black families got off food stamps?

Theses are things — concrete actions that helped all Americans, including blacks — that should have been touted all along.

How did we miss this ?

Probably because it was rejected by all of the major newspapers in favor of Pro-Biden/Never-Trump OP-ED pieces.

So, is Trump thinking back to Ulysses S. Grant's "Radical Republicans"? A modern push to restore America, black, white, brown alike? "Radical Republicans" without the oversteps of reconstruction? Without the hate of everything Southern? Obviously some will be offended at the mere mention of Grant's name, while others here have frequently posted Lincoln's famous praise of Grant, “I can't spare this man–he fights.” There are huge differences between them, but certainly some similarities.

It is out there, just not where we usually read.

I see all of this as a positive for TRUMP.

Brilliant. Make black families strong again. Make black communities prosperous. Make black people equal Americans finally. Make America great again. God Bless President Trump.
