California pastor explains Trump vote with 'clear conscience'
Fox News ^ | October 31 2020 | Caleb Parke

The leader of an influential California megachurch says he's voting for President Trump with "confidence" after comparing his accomplishments to Joe Biden's nearly half-century-long voting record.

Bill Johnson, a fifth-generation pastor and senior leader of Bethel Church in Redding, located in the northern part of the Golden State, shared his reasoning in an op-ed for The Christian Post, saying the mainstream media has falsely portrayed the president as a "racist, misogynist, and xenophobe."

The "Born for Significance" author said it's surprising to many that Trump has "undeniably accomplished — or attempted to accomplish — a majority of his main campaign promises" during his first term. Johnson said it's "an honorable character trait of any elected official to follow through on their commitments."

Calling Johnson a Christian is a bit of a stretch.

Christian or not, this election comes down to a very few stark, diametrically opposed issues that must be decided: sanctity of innocent life or human sacrifice; the right to keep and bear arms or disarmament; property rights or state control over property; religious liberty or homoFascism; and biological reality or fake, politicized “science.”

Those are the choices. And the candidates’ positions are clear on all of them.

I omitted one stark choice: the right to viable national borders, or the skinning alive of America.

great list- I’ll add one more-

unity as a nation? Or dysfunction as a nation, as a dangerous radical and violent movement tries to wrest power from the people, by aggressive force, and give it all to the corrupt leaders who will lord it over us like communist nations do to their citzens

Why do you say that? I don’t know anything about him.

While there is much that I disagree with regarding Bethel ‘church’ and Bill Johnson, I CAN agree with his endorsement of PDJT, for whatever the opinion of this Canadian is worth.

It’s about the first thing I’ve known Bill Johnson to say that I agree with. Only the endorsing Trump part. Maybe not the reasons.

They are part of the New Apostolic Reformation. Too much to get into in a single post. Just think of things like Holy Laughter, barking like animals, etc.

I’m happy he spoke out - although it’s a sad testament to the successful bullying of the politically correct leftard media asswipes that he feels compelled to explain that he has a “clear conscience” when supporting Trump.

I am disgusted at self-described Christians endorsing Biden over Trump.

Donald Trump has been an adulterer in the past--and so has Joe Biden. Donald Trump has made some offensive remarks--and so has Joe Biden. Donald Trump has done a lot to advance the pro-life cause--Biden has done the opposite.

I know that Donald Trump is a highly flawed man--but if one looks in the Bible at those who the Almighty chose to be his instrument, one finds a lot of flawed people.

I am tired of hypocritical and self-serving arguments.

🥱

😠I am not pleased with the wishy pastors. He shouldn’t even have to mention anyone. If churches were rightly teaching the Word of God, this election would be a no brainer.

Only one perfect person ever existed.

The rest of us have our problems, faults, shortcomings, and failures.
