IBTZ!
Yep, but then you’re into voter registrations.
Worrying about “Is it 80,000? 90,000? 100,000?” misses the point. This is NOT the actual election! We know nothing about how independents are voting. We don’t know if the GOP is cannibalizing the Election Day vote or not. We don’t know what we don’t know, and counting angels dancing on the head of a pin doesn’t help.
Me? I’m thrilled we have NOT been blown away by the huge emphasis Demoncrats put on vote by mail! Months of telling their voters they MUST vote by mail or die....and they have NOT blown us away. All the ballots they sent out? Obama trying to prop up Pasty White Joe?
Here’s the prize, IMHO: When Election Day starts, Republicans have a real chance to outvote Demoncrats in the General Election! And if independents break 51:49, Trump should still win!
What the numbers prove right now is that enthusiasm FOR Trump is at least as great as hatred for Trump. maybe greater. And they show the polls claiming Biden is winning in a landslide are utter DOG POOP!
That is good enough for me. Of course, I’m not laying bets either. But we don’t know what we cannot know, and there is no one magic number. Heck, I’d be a little nervous if we had a 500,000 vote LEAD right now. I’ll be at least a little nervous until I see the Washington Post admit Trump won!
But these results are great, and I thank all of you who have done so much work to keep us peons updated! I’d feel horrible listening to the media tell me Joe is winning in a landslide if I didn’t have y’all pointing out what is happening conflicts with their damn polls!
Not necessarily.
I went to see Obama once. Just because I wanted to lay eyes on him.
He was a dope...but he is a historical character for this country.
Pssst! I’m the one who pinged you re: the 96K number.
I have a question that may have already been address in the past on this thread. Regarding the vote by mail numbers, are the numbers just the number of ballots that have been returned by Republicans and Democrats? Or are these the actual votes for the candidates? Where Im getting at, is the enthusiasm gap is so large between the Republicans for Trump at 94 to 96%, and the enthusiasm gap for Biden runs around the 60 to 65%. There may be a chance that a large number of the vote by mail by the Democrats are not actually votes for Biden. Am I off in this way of thinking?
Larry we all agree on 96k now.
We beat that horse to death.
No votes have been counted. They are ballots that have been returned for Dems and Republicans.
Numbers are just who voted not how
That’s what I thought. But then I had someone saying, no it’s 117,000. Which even if true, based on voter reg gains, it would be pretty much . . . 96,000.
Thanks for clarifying.
Speedy, you and Ravi should probably update your Christmas card lists.
If you are talking about 88k to 96k, nothing nefarious happened.
Ds simply netted 8k from VBM on Election Eve. Ballots arriving by mail or dropped off in person.
Another huge batch of VBM showed up on Election Day, again dropped off in person or arriving by mail.
Between Election Eve and Election Day, Ds and Rs both increased return rates by 5%.
Another large number of VBM arrived after election day and were invalid. I looked that number up the other day. Somewhere around 30,000 VBM arrived late in 2016.
No.
You are right.
Plenty of Freepers have made that same point in previous Florida threads. It is quite possible Trump is doing even better than appears.
NC seems to be slipping away from the Dems delusion of bagging NC + GA to overcome a FL loss.
Also, a reminder that the Dem media machine is warning big-time that a lot of AA’s are not turning up to vote or not returning VBM ballots. I’ve seen them mention Philly and Miami-Dade. This WILL affected any states with big AA populations like FL, NC and GA. This doesn’t even take into consideration that some AA’s will be voting Trump secretly by mail or at the ballot box.
Exactly right. The rest is speculation and fun (unless one is "on the ground in Florida").
Thanks.
