Interesting homepage karpov. I’ve got the Fischer-Spassky book from long ago. I was always intrigued by the Nimzo-Indian defense, but never understood all of it. Life and other things took my interest away from chess. I had a beautiful chessboard with stone-carved pieces. I think it’s in my basement somewhere.

Honor and shame (personal and as the personal applies to the whole), no matter whether the reasons are universally valid or not, have a bigger role in Japanese culture and thinking than in they do in very many societies.
Feeling like you cannot manage the circumstances of your own life is a point of shame - I’m letting everyone down so I and my problems should no longer be a drag on the rest of you, you who are so much better than I because you are succeeding where I am failing.
Our family has always thought we had it in late December through January as it spread amongst us.
Now that I’ve known actually diagnosed people I’m even more convinced we had it, all the symptoms were the same as was the progression. 3 were acutely ill for a short time and used a nebulizer and the other 4 were moderately sick.
