There is increasing evidence that cloth masks not only may be ineffective against stopping coronavirus transmission, but that they may actually increase the spread of the virus, as well as worsening other health conditions.

I keep hearing from all these Totalitarian Democrat Politicians that they are Actively following CDC guidelines and science, if so, Why are they all still recommending or requiring the subjects to wear masks??

How many of us who have had years of advanced training using masks and other PPE in a professional capacity have been shouted down by the Fearpers among us for saying the same thing? The types of masks being used by the public, how they are being used, and the mask mandates are worse than useless. They are increasing illness and harmful to many individual.

My son went through a stem cell transplant last year. We learned a lot about masks. A fitted N95 is good for people like my son who needs one always.

These little loose paper things people put on do nothing.

That’s a link to the New American article, not the CDC report that it quotes.

I didn’t see a link within the article to the CDC.

Interesting. Wasn't it Dr. Fauci’s contention that we shouldn't make hydroxychloroquine generally available until we had a number of clinical trials? It seems to me that since we're getting so much conflicting information, perhaps we should hold off on the wholesale demand of masking of the general public until we have enough clinical trials to prove it effective.

I’ve been saying that from the beginning. Masks are a super spreader.

Ultimately, they are going to find the same thing about the cloth N95 type masks (especially the cheap disposal ones). People tend to just flip them on their face, keep them below their nose, and it is rare to see anyone who actually obtains a decent seal with them.

On top of that, people are NOT supposed to wear these masks for hours or recycle them and use them for days on end because there are other health concerns from doing it.

Not useless. It reduces the amount of spreading in close confines. Wearing one in a grocery store is just a virtue signal. We don’t even track places like that in Contact Tracing because you can only catch it by interfacing with a sick person for a length of time.

Abstract
Cloth masks have been used in healthcare and community settings to protect the wearer from respiratory infections. The use of cloth masks during the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) pandemic is under debate. The filtration effectiveness of cloth masks is generally lower than that of medical masks and respirators; however, cloth masks may provide some protection if well designed and used correctly. Multilayer cloth masks, designed to fit around the face and made of water-resistant fabric with a high number of threads and finer weave, may provide reasonable protection. Until a cloth mask design is proven to be equally effective as a medical or N95 mask, wearing cloth masks should not be mandated for healthcare workers. In community settings, however, cloth masks may be used to prevent community spread of infections by sick or asymptomatically infected persons, and the public should be educated about their correct use.

No, they're evidence of compliance. The masks are about control.

CDC: No Conclusive Evidence Cloth Masks Work Against COVID

Smart people new this anyway but why the hell don’t they just come out and state that and say mask wearing should be a optional not a state or local mandated requirement.

In Maryland this week for some consulting work and what a shxthole the state still is (used to live here). Mask BS everywhere you go.

Headed back to the free state of Georgia where mask are optional for those who wish to be sheeple.
