Great news and hope for the future.
Better numbers for Trump than in 2016:
DES MOINES Secretary of State Paul Pates Iowa Youth Straw Poll was a resounding success with more than 57,000 students from more than 250 schools across the state participating. Most of the schools cast their ballots on November 1.
“I think it was a great opportunity for them to see first-hand how the process works. It also gives them a running start for the next election cycle and also receive a little tutoring at the same time, so theyll have a good base of knowledge for Iowas elections process,” Secretary Pate said. “I hope this fired them up and will also spur them to encourage their parents, neighbors and friends to get out and vote.”
Here are the statewide results as of 6:45 p.m. Tuesday night, listing only candidates that received at least five percent of the vote total:
U.S. PRESIDENT
Donald Trump-46%
Hillary Clinton-36%
Gary Johnson-7%
U.S. SENATE
Charles Grassley-62%
Patty Judge-25%
Charles Aldrich-5%
Jim Hennager-5%

Good news for today.
And yet, Iowa is shutting down polling places. The kungFlu isn’t even a remotely rational excuse to do so. Trying to limit the votes for the President?
Where’s the Weekly Reader poll?
I’m encouraged by the fact that they say Trump at all, considering how they are being brainwashed in the government schools.
This is great! Trump will win!
Keep informing the 80+ crowd that CNN is now a propaganda channel and the Democratic Party has changed. Some of the very elderly still watch CNN.
I don’t think it will work. Trump voters are too enthusiastic and will wait in line as long as it takes.
The governor is a Republican correct?
Wait until otherwise unemployable college professors brainwash them
My mother-in-law still watches nightly news casts and reads her local paper (no computer or cell phone). I just sent her several articles about Hunter and Joe that I printed from online sources. I hope she shows them to her friends.
Iowa went for Osama Obama...twice.

called the state right for Pres., U.S. Sen. and Gov. in every election since 2012.
Ah wow...takes me back to my Elementary School years when we would have an presidential election in 80 and 84. This of course was before politics has become what it is today. In 84, I remember Mondale got one vote out of 500 or so students. We all got a big laugh out of that when they announced the results over the intercom.
Yes ! We had a straw poll before the 1980 election - Reagan vs. Carter. Carter won in a landslide. I was so upset. Turns out my school was predominantly rat voters so it was no indication of the blowout that was to happen....
Youths usually go with what they hear at the kitchen table, Biden’s favorite place.
