Listen in on a group chat of the 'Wives of the Deplorables'
Carole Catherine did not know her husband, Tim, supported Donald Trump until the day after Hillary Clinton lost the 2016 election. She called him the next morning crying.
"And he was like, 'Yeah, of course she lost. She is an awful human being,' " she said.
"It was like a light went off for me. And I thought, 'Oh boy, we're going to have trouble.' "
For the next three years, Catherine felt like she was living an alternate reality. Her husband was her high school sweetheart. A rekindled love after a first marriage, children and divorce. They barely fought for the first 11 years of their marriage. And now they were working through major ideological differences. "I didn't know that he's anti-abortion. I didn't know that he is so emotional about immigration," Catherine said. "Both of us never really fleshed out those issues."
Carole Catherine founded the "Wives of the Deplorables" Facebook group after finding out her husband voted for Donald Trump.

A place to vent
The same is true for many of the wives who are now part of the private Facebook group Catherine founded last year. The group is called "Wives of the Deplorables," a play on the now infamous comment Clinton made about some of Trump's supporters during her 2016 presidential campaign.
Catherine started the group in October 2019 in an effort to try to figure out how to talk to her husband about politics -- without it ending in a yelling match. The group is made up of wives across the United States who are Democrats, whose spouses are Republicans; many Trump supporters.

Three women to write the b!tch-fest?
..................
Kind of sad, particularly in the case of long relationships. Makes be wonder if a Lysistrata style action would have been effective, though in itself truly deplorable.
i don’t know how they do it- I could not be with a liberal. I’m happy my husband and I are on the same page.
Let them find liberal husbands.
So these women put ideology above their marriages, essentially. Nice job, “ladies”.
Flip the script; Husbands of Antifa or Husbands of Rioters and Looters, Husbands of Corruption, etc
Why would two people in a loving marriage, living in the same house with identical economic standing split their vote. It is the equivalent to neither of them voting. It makes no sense. Why cant these women follow the lead of their husbands and just vote for Trump?
Deplorablettes
This is implausible. You're married to someone for 11 years and they don't have any idea what your foundational beliefs are?
You know the feminist answer to that. I wouldn't ask it, though I don't think I've ever put in the position.
Those are the women that will be turning you in to the thought police and the ATF.
I think it's important in a marriage to have similar political views. I would never advise a conservative man to get hooked up with a far Left woman. Just setting yourself up for a lifetime of misery.
It works the other way too.
For example, I can't imagine how Kellyanne Conway goes home to that obnoxious husband of hers every day.
Go to ANY dating site and you will see the liberals (women) with profiles of "If you voted for Trump, swipe left", "Republican need not apply", etc.
This is a CNN “narrative” story.
Quit being a liberal idiot. Problem solved.
