Around here, beat up farm-like trucks will carry gasoline cans, propane grill tanks and road flares, and assorted other junk.

I think sometimes they jump to conclusions of suspicion before considering the obvious possibilities. There are indeed everyday mobile occupations that do require those tools. This possibility should probably be considered with logic first. I have had it happen to me, was once accused by an officer of being in possession of burglary tools. I was in a big rig road service truck with all the tools and prybars needed to do my job. All I could say was “what? are you kidding”.

Your BS assumption is grossly out of touch with reality and current events. Tell us how many plumbers and pipe fitters in a large city use dynamite when, coincidentally, 18 ATMs were blown up in same city within 48 hours.

Next, you are going to tell us that pallets of bricks and fireworks strategically pre-positioned before riots and looting have an innocent story behind them. I suppose rioters use umbrellas because it might rain within the next month.
