EVERY TIME this sort of thing happens, I would remind the people or organizations affected to look at Twitter data and realize, every time, it is always a small fraction of Twitter subscribers who represent those complaining. They should realize, just like any form of voting, they would be caving into a minority, every time.
They should check and see who have purchased GS cookies in the past. I think the will find most were conservative. Liberals do nor believe in charity
