I agree with the judge. Because I do not remember if I signed voter registration in lower case or upper case. And there is no way for me to find out. I have a habit of using both when signing depending on my mood at the moment.

Yeah Yeah, I have made many blunders in my life. Not learning cursive may be one of them.
Most of us had to change our legal signature to agree with the name on our Birth certificate. Since I have never signed my signature that way I can hardly match a signature let alone sign something in a way I never have. Sadly the older we get the harder that is to do. For those that don't remember when doctors use to fill out birth certificates in the dark of night, mistakes were common and my name is misspelled to a point it is hard to sign. To make matters worse the doc used my fathers common nick name instead of his given name. Oh well life goes on until it doesn't.
You would tell them what you do, and then sign in BOTH styles...one of them should match.
