I agree with you. Omaha has VAST experience with large events, from having NCAA events, College World Series, Olympic Swim trials, etc. They never have problems getting people out of the venues.

I hate to say this, but this happened at one of his first rallies in Mobile, Al. We parked at a ball park and road city busses to the stadium. Getting there was pretty well organized. After the rally, though, all the organization and organizers disappeared. The busses didn’t show up for quite some time, and then it was a free for all to get on a bus. We’re talking thousands of people and one bus coming at a time. If I remember correctly it took us about two hours to make the 15 minute ride back to the ball park.

This kind of thing is normal with the use of mass transportation. Heading out for the rally, busses will be running continuously for hours, people arriving at different times during the day/evening, The crowd gradually swelling. . At the end they all want to get out and go home at the same time. Naturally many will have to wait. The imbecile at CNN probably could have figured this out but didn’t want to miss a chance to be a schmuck.

People who have lived in Omaha their whole lives don’t realize it gets cold this time of year, especially at night, and there is going to be tons of traffic at a Trump event. Yeah, sure WaPo. Bite me.

I strongly suspect your are correct.
There was something very fishy about the buses staying put and not coming to get those folks.

One twitter thread claimed the buses were to be paid by the Trump campaign and the credit card was rejected, so they wouldn’t go pick up the folks. This sounds like utter BS!

Can you imagine the absolute bullsh!t they have planned for election day? I hope Trump voters will go en mass this week and not wait until next Tues.
