Former Fox News anchor Shepard Smith's new show on CNBC is not doing so well...In fact, his prime-time show is running behind even repeats of Fox Business's show "Lou Dobbs Tonight."...The show, "The News with Shepard Smith," launched on Sept. 30.
The show brought in an average of 343,000 total viewers its first week, according to Nielsen, in its second week that number dropped to 268,000 in its second week, and dropped again in Week 3 to 254,000.
Worse, the coveted demographic of the 25-54 age group came in at an average 58,000 viewers in Week 1 and dropped to 48,000 the next week.

If you had some earthquake or tidal wave story....Shep did a great job of staying on the facts. But the problem is...that only occurs like once every six months. So Shep slips off and does these political agenda stories for the other 98-percent of the time.

I was turned off by his drama queen schtick when he covered Katrina. Wasn’t just him of course, all reporters seemed to think that if they could find one example of a victim not getting adequate care that the government response was a failure.

Shep was good as a sleazy backstabber on Fox News but once he left he had to compete against people far sleazier and with more experience. Nobody cares when he’s out of the zone where he can do damage. Maybe he can start a talk show with Megyn Kelly called the Loser Zone.

Shepherd Smith was a gay novelty at FoxNews, but he is as common as dirt at MSNBC. He can’t distinguish himself from the other trash at his current network. He is done, just stick the fork in him.
