Joe Biden wants to take one of the great American success stories of the last several decades and drive it into the ground. He would turn his back on the stupendous wealth represented by proven reserves of oil and gas in this country.
Rather than focusing on producing cheap, abundant energy a key ingredient to human progress through all of human history he would embark on the fools errand of trying to adjust the worlds thermostat 80 years from now.
After a 50-year effort to diminish our reliance on Middle Eastern oil, which has miraculously happened at last, Biden would force America to transition to solar and wind, industries currently dependent on Chinese supply chains

wind and solar will never compete with oil, gas and nuclear.
They are a form of corruption and play things for wealthy leftist politicians.
I would shorten the Title..to Joe Biden is insane.
Doesnt Biden have holdings in foreign oil companies? If so, what would suppressing the US oil industry do for his foreign oil investments?
The American Left’s growth was stunted in the ‘70s.
Everything they espouse, from alternative energy boondoggles to “social justice” to constant protests to legalizing drugs is right out of an “All in the Family” rerun.
The Left is an amalgam of Prozac’d old hippies, their Ritalin’d kids and their Adderall’d grandkids. All of them living in a world where it’s 1974 all the time.
But Joe makes money on the other end.
The business dealings in Hunter Biden’s laptop were several foreign oil and gas deals, such as buying stakes in PEMEX, Mexico’s state producer, and Russia’s state oil company. If he was able to shut down US oil, those investments would be more valuable.
Insane war on American oil. Other countries, hes cool with.
And obviously, this mental midget Biden (and the idiots who wrote his "policy" for him) are unaware that oil is ALSO used to make PLASTICS and other non-energy-related necessities such as nylon, cosmetics, analgesics, sanitary napkins, shampoos, chewing gum, etc. We really can't do without oil. And now that we are independent of the Arabs for our oil needs, they realize they can no longer dictate to us and hold us over a barrel for their oil. This has undoubtedly contributed to the recent treaties between Israel and several Arab nations.
The real important part that is left out: How is he going to get people to transition? By making gasoline cost $20 a gallon. $5 won’t do it. $10 just gets people pissed off when they buy it. $20 starts making an electric car cost effective.
That’s the brilliant part: that detail is left for some future politician to worry about By putting it out in the future, today’s politician can take credit, without having to deal with the repercussions of their foolishness.

Obama/Biden shut down US coal to benefit China. They were perfectly happy to attempt the same with US oil and gas.
The only difference is that Joe did it for money and Obama did it for ideology. He hated the US, thought we needed to be taken down a peg, and promoted our enemies and their interests (particularly those of China and Iran).
Are people ever going to realize that biden is just a puppet who has lost his mind? He is simply a front man who no longer has any idea what he is saying. He deserves the
While everyone is focused on biden the rest of them are pulling crap unseen. While we are blinded by the antics of Hunter and family the rest of the dems are running around gathering fake voters, causing mayhem on the streets, and convincing us to mail in our votes so they can change them.
Wind and solar are bad for the environment. Solar is toxic to produce, has a shelf life and toxic to dispose of. Wind is a blight on the country side, kills birds and the blades are stacking up in landfills. Some real environmentalists that are not on the payroll are seeing the light.
“industries currently dependent on Chinese supply chains”
Joe is STILL doing the Chinese-personal-income scam?
The DOE was created to wean us of foreign oil. Lets eliminate it now that fracking has solved the problem.
The upper limit is set by synthetic fuels. It’s no where near $20 a gallon. The Navy is planning on making its own jet fuel for $3_6 with nuclear power on aircraft carriers. That already is cheaper than what a gallon delivered to a combat zone costs.

There already companies that can literally make synthetic fuels for thin air for $10 or under a gallon they predict $3_4 at scale it’s just chemistry and where you source your power from. Access to cheap $.015 kWh hydroelectric or basebar nuclear power would make electrofuels competitive to $80 bbl oil.
There is at least a dozen synthetic fuel technology. Ranging from coal to liquids, gas to liquids, biomass to liquids, electricity aka elecrofuels to liquids, plasma polymerization to liquids, hydrothermal depolymerization followed by FT synthesis. Methanol to gasoline over zeolites, those are just some of the brute force thermochemical routes. Theres at least a dozen biochemical routes as well. Via yeast, ecoli, archea bacteria, and biocatalysts. It all comes down to what your source and cost of feed stock is vs what you can sell your product for on a btu to btu basis. The net energy balance is irrelevant if you can take $2 a ton coal and turn it into $250 a ton number 2 fuel oil like the south Africans do on a daily basis who cares if the EORI is negative.
