People are in denial about booze too. But it’s legal.

I enjoy a cuban cigar and a sip or a few of bourbon or scotch. Or a cold beer on a warm day (or cool evening). Or a good Napa Cab with a rare ribeye and loaded potato. But I can't deny the social and economic price the USA pays for alcohol abuse. It's far worse than the damage caused by pot.

“But I can’t deny the social and economic price the USA pays for alcohol abuse’’<<. True indeed. You can add to that the medical damage done to the body from alcohol.

I’ve seen it time and again working in hospital emergency rooms.

That’s just because pot hasn’t been legal for that long. Did you read the article?
