Surprisingly here in ultra lefty silicon valley I’ve seen tons of No-on-16 signs (”Don’t divide us, No on 16”) and not one Yes-on-16 sign.
Looks like the fascist regime in Albany has pissed off everyone in the state, even the stooges who continue to vote D.
Hell, the Rats in the legislature will shove it down their throats anyway. And the left wing judges will allow it.
A judge will force it on them and they’ll like it.

Every once in a while there’s a faint pulse in the California electorate. This is an effort to overturn Prop 209, where the voters decisively rejected affirmative action. Look for similar results in one or more of Prop 17
Restorong felons’ voting rights; Prop 19 overturning the property
tax protections of Prop 13
For commercial property; Prop 20 limiting parole for certain offenses; Prop 21 which would expand rent control; Prop 22 which would require Lyft and Uber to make their drivers employees; and Prop 25 that would eliminate cash bail

Affirmative action has been spread to so many sub-groups that there is now an unwritten (secret?) pecking order that is beginning to tick off just about everyone.
Is the trisexual left-handed Hispanic dwarf to be kicked up to the top of the hiring list for hospital administrators?
It has become a bizarre joke.
If the voters reject it, they’ll just find a left-wing judge who will throw out the results of the vote and “deem” the proposition to have been approved.
what is even more surprising is that the measure is losing with all races except Blacks. obviously Asians realize that this is a ploy to fill their spots at UC campuses with Blacks and Latinos. some might be surprised that Latinos reject but most that I know (who are citizens) worked their way up the food chain and don’t believe in quotas.
It is not possible for a judge to “throw out the results” because the current law is written into the constitution. So if the results are thrown out, the current law (which prohibits all quotas) remains the law of the state.
The proposition would bring back affirmative action if it passes but that appears unlikely.
