If you live in California, Thanksgiving is going to look a lot different this year, and be a lot less fun. The California Department of Public Health released its new guidelines for Turkey Day, and each rule is more insane than the last.
See below for some of the more outlandish guidelines that Californians will have to comply with next month as they try to kick off the holiday season.
All gatherings must include no more than three households, including hosts and guests, and must be held outdoors, lasting for two hours of less.
"The longer the duration [of the gathering], the risk of transmission increases," the statement noted.
"Gatherings that occur outdoors are significantly safer than indoor gatherings. All gatherings must be held outside. Attendees may go inside to use restrooms as long as the restrooms are frequently sanitized," the statement added. (Newsweek)
The guidelines come as Gov. Newsom reports that COVID cases and hospitalizations in California are trending up "slightly" and the 7-day positivity rate is also experiencing "modest" increases.
The CDPH adds that citizens can remove their masks while they're eating or drinking, or for health reasons, such as if the individual is feeling light-headed or needs to use their asthma inhaler.
That's not even the most nonsense part. The guidelines also advise Californians to avoid "singing, chanting, and shouting." In fact, they advise against any physical activity whatsoever.
"Singing, chanting, shouting, and physical exertion significantly increases the risk of COVID-19 transmission because these activities increase the release of respiratory droplets and fine aerosols into the air," the statement said. "Because of this, singing, chanting, and shouting are strongly discouraged."
You wanna send your squad into my house asswipe? Better have a warrant and good luck getting one on Thanksgiving day.
Or what? You think police departments already barely making out from defunding by ingrates are going to waste time rounding up grandma, grandpa, Aunt Edna and little Johnnie and Sally?
The totalitarian arrogance is breathtaking.
This is a preview for rest of us in America if Creepy Joe wins on Nov. 3rd.
Does he have the Constitutional authority to do this? Someone needs to cut his microphone.
Right on, Kevin! 100%.
Be prepared. If a neighbor or passerby sees too much activity they may summon a SWAT team. The state is determined too, and they have bigger guns.

The use of the word must is an interesting choice. In legal documents, it has specific meaning.
If anyone doesn't recognize that this COVID-19 is all a dry run for Leftist Totalitarians, they haven't been paying attention.
This has to be a joke.. right?

Youve never been to our gun club.

More communism.
Deprivation of rights under color of law.
So many felonies.
Someone out there needs to sue his a** for violation of the right to peaceably assemble.
I understand the need for laws that give governors extraordinary powers in times of emergency. But they are unconstitutional when there has been plenty of time for the legislature to respond to the emergency but has failed to do so.
The constitution guarantees that every state will have a republican form of government. A permanent or even a semi-permanent situation of extraordinary powers for a governor violates that guarantee.
30 days. 60 at the max.
Outdoors in the rain!!! : )
Are these enforceable laws or guidelines?
Right on! Just how does the governor think these rules will be enforced?!
Gosh, how considerate of them.
