In 2017, Hunter Biden and a group of business partners seeking a $10 million investment deal with a Chinese energy firm touted Joe Biden’s friendly relations with Colombia’s president in their sales proposal, which suggested a series of oil investments in the South American country, according to documents obtained by The Daily Caller News Foundation.
Hunter Biden and four other businessmen, including his uncle James Biden, highlighted the former vice president’s positive relationship with Juan Manuel Santos in a May 15, 2017 investment outline for CEFC China Energy, a Chinese energy conglomerate.
The Biden consortium, which would be called SinoHawk, sought a $10 million seed investment from CEFC China Energy, with a goal of eventually securing billions of dollars in investments in the U.S. and around the world.
The report is part of a trove of records held by Tony Bobulinski, a California-based businessman who was part of the consortium with Hunter Biden, James Biden, and two other partners.
Bobulinski has provided the documents to a Senate committee investigating Hunter Biden’s business dealings. He said at a press conference last week that the records show that the Bidens “aggressively leveraged” their family name to secure foreign business deals.
Bobulinski also said that he met with Joe and Hunter Biden in early May 2017 to discuss the Chinese deal. Joe Biden has long denied discussing business with his son.

CEFC is a strange company. Founded by a guy (YE Jianming “the Chairman”) who claimed to be a forest ranger, before supposedly buying some oil assets in Fujian China in 1990. That launched it into the oil and trading business.
Played a typical Chinese confidence game of playing up their power and buying influence. Had bizarre connections to the President of Czech Republic after buying up a bevy of Czech companies.
Made a bid for 14% of Rosneft for $9 billion, but never made the payment. That’s when Hunter went off on his own to represent the owner. CEFC supposedly had 50,000 employees at its peak.
CFEC and all its subsidiaries were declared bankrupt in April 2018. The founder, YE Jianming, has not been seen since.

C’mon Catherine. You can do it. Break through that Iron Curtain of northeast censorship.
At what point are there too many countries, companies, deals and details that this becomes impossible to follow? Or perhaps not impossible, but a full time job to follow?
1. I think the Bidens used Bobulinski to help them set up a shell company for accepting bribes, and he didn't realize that's what was going on. I think they believed he understood, but he didn't.
2. I think he would have let it go, but the Laptop from Hell appeared, and the Bidens tried to write it off as Russian disinformation, and Bobulinski thought, "Oh no you don't. My name is involved in this."
3. I think a lot of these foreign oil companies Hunter is involved with are NOT shell but real, and he's setting himself up to be a front man for them so they can bid on government contracts without being designated a "foreign company."
4. I think Joe's intention of crippling American oil is a favor in response to the needs of the foreign companies. A favor he expects to be paid for.
