If “new” judges can be hired, they can be fired. None of this is covered by either rules or law. “Screw the SCOTUS”, they are saying.

I love this! These weirdos have a week left to scare undecided normal people before the election, and they’re not wasting a minute of it.
They clearly cannot see where this leads. The Supreme Court is the last bastion of law and order for this country. It’s the last pillar maintaining the constitutional republic. If they expand the court to 13 justices, the next election we expand it to 100. Then they expand it to 1,000. Then it loses all meaning. The last pillar of law and order falls.
They are risking the very foundations upon which this country is built and what they can’t see is the chaotic Hell that’s unleashed once those foundations collapse. Forget the economy; that gets annihilated. We’ll all just be fighting each other for survival at that point. Generations of people living here after we’re all dead will still be suffering the consequences from AOC and her short-sighted idiot followers.

Trump will expand the court to 11 by nominating two more judges and then pass a law limiting the judges to 11.
Then Justices Breyer and Thomas will retire and Trump will appoint two more justices making it a total of 3+2+2 = 7 justices appointed by Trump.

Good point. So you can't 'fire' them per se, but I don't know if it's ever been tested whether that means you can't obsolete a court or seat.
