Takei was really good in the Trek shows/movies, and his Twilight Zone appearance. The homo-lifestyle has really twisted him I think.

His acting talent is not at issue. It’s the fact that he’s a political cretin.

Can't agree there.I've never seen the movies but in the TV show he was,by far,the weakest of the characters.

Scotty...Bones...Uhura...Checkov were all great. And Spock was classic...the best one by far.

But Kirk? Not at all impressed. And Sulu? Horrible!

In my experience, a prerequisite to being a very good actor is that one doesn’t have a decided Self of one’s own.

There are exceptions, of course; but the most talented ones are very ‘fluid’ people.

They get into trouble when they have exorbitant notions that their practical importance and ability extend far beyond their practiced and experienced craft.

Anyone can say anything in public; but sometimes it isn’t wise, and may just show one as stupid, ignorant, and desperate for attention. (This failing seems to be common among ‘celebrities’ in their waning years...)
