the nomination still hasn’t been formally sent to the Senate yet, then it goes through Judiciary committee, then to the Senate floor for a vote.
kudos to Trump for nominating a replacement so quickly...and kudos to Obama for leaving so many vacancies for trump to fill.
In the immediate aftermath of the confirmation vote, I think cloture was filed on debate for Kirsch, Barrett’s replacement. I was confused when I heard the audio of it. I was pretty giddy at the time, at least that’s what I think I heard.
