In the immediate aftermath of the confirmation vote, I think cloture was filed on debate for Kirsch, Barrett’s replacement. I was confused when I heard the audio of it. I was pretty giddy at the time, at least that’s what I think I heard.
you must have misheard because the nomination hasn’t been formally submitted. I believe Mitch has a couple of district judges lined up for confirmation soon, and hopefully Kirsch will get confirmed during the lame duck session if Trump wins.
