Joe Biden is relying on Americans being sick of Donald Trump, a state of affairs which would make a butcher's block of red-meat rallies counterproductive for the president.
WASHINGTON - - Democrats have a counterintuitive plan for the final week of the presidential campaign: more Donald Trump, less Joe Biden.
As the president ramps up his barnstorming tour between now and next Tuesday's election, Biden's markedly lighter schedule looks like that of an incumbent congressman who has no opponent. The Democratic nominee took Monday off entirely, while Trump held rallies across Pennsylvania - in Allentown, Lancaster and Martinsburg.
If Trump wins, Biden will surely face recriminations from within his party for sitting on a lead. But Republicans seem more eager than Democrats to get Biden out on the trail, an indication that his four-corners strategy is perceived by both parties as a smart tack.
"He's waved a white flag on life," Trump said Monday in response to Biden charging that the president has surrendered the fight against the coronavirus. "This guy doesn't leave his basement."
Trump wants Biden to appear more often. Meanwhile, many Democrats are thrilled that Trump is holding more of his signature campaign rallies. They routinely highlight his most pugnacious tendencies. They also remind voters who don't attend them that Trump's focus on personal squabbles is virtually unlimited, while his focus on the coronavirus pandemic is sharply limited.

It’s amazing how the AP comes out with this story. Now NBC. No doubt the others will follow. They are all so in bed with the Rats and their talking points. It’s really disgusting.
All I have to say is, at this juncture, you campaign like crazy to get out the vote. That is what high price consultants tell us. For Biden not to follow this strategy is extremely odd and gives Trump more opportunity to be seen.
I think Biden does have events in Georgia sometime this week though.

This sounds rather delusional. One of the reasons why Hillary Clinton lost is that she was a lazy campaigner who thought she was ahead based on a blizzard of fake polls. Even though she was lazy she did feel compelled to campaign. People don’t like being taken for granted. They expect someone wanting their vote to come and visit their state and interact with the poeple. Trump has done that, Biden perfers not to. Biden and company are making the mistake that everyone hates Trump as much as they do. They have let themselves be convinced of that by CNN, etc.. They pay no attnetion to the tens of thousands of people who flock to Trump rallies on short notice. They pay no attention to the hundreds of boat parades, car parades marches, street level flag waving that take place in every state on a daily basis.
They can keep Biden in the basement for all we care.
And 2, McKinley was in no basement. He conducted massive rallies from his front porch every day. People traveled to his house to hear him speak.
Slow Joe on the other hand has Ka ma la who is a joke and Hiden Joe is holding no rallies from his house. He is hiding in the basement.

Thanks. And other than the McKinley example there is no example in American history of Biden’s approach working. Well, I suppose Biden’s substitute for front porch rallies is his TV ads—so many more than Trump’s, I understand.
I’ve actually seen NO ads for either candidate because I don’t watch TV at all, but I know older people do and perhaps Biden’s millions of ads are getting the older vote.
Sad that we choose our leaders solely based on marketing and ads (and 2 debates in which Trump did well). Hopefully we’ll find out in a week that we. . .don’t.

But no one has ever had every single news organization campaigning for him either. The positive press Biden gets should absolutely be considered a “campaign contribution.” He doesn’t really need to raise money (except to put in his pockets) because the MSM is a constant Biden ad, or Trump attack ad.
It can only be a strategy because the media is fake. No one cares to ask him a question. No one wants to ask if he’s fit and he’s proving that he’s not fit at all. If your strategy is to make sure the voters you want to lead sees you as little as possible you simply aren’t fit to lead and should rethink your life goals
What effect do you think Joe’s “lid” for the next 9 days is having on his volunteers? Really fired up to make phone calls or go knock on doors when The Big Guy is laying around in his basement?

Biden may not be getting outside his basement, but I’m seeing his face on the air much more that Trump’s. The media is doing his campaigning for him...I hope Trump’s personal appearance can offset that advantage. Biden thinks and is pretty much assured he has it in the bag, or he’d be getting out for personal appearances.

A campaign, without a campaign. This is a unique campaign strategy for Biden indeed. Wouldn’t have anything to do with Biden being terrified of some rogue reporter asking some uncomfortable question about Hunter and the laptop from Hell.

We can fairly assume that people who voluntarily choose to attend Trump rallies, then clap and cheer their heads off, are not “worn out” with Trump. NBC has gone from partisan coverage to Baghdad Bob — the stage when they have become a laughingstock but it’s their only option.
