The "overwhelming" emotional toll of the coronavirus left an Illinois doctor in tears as she announced the latest number of deaths in the state more than seven months into the pandemic.
"These are people who started with us in 2020 and won't be with us at the Thanksgiving table," Illinois Department of Public Health Director Dr. Ngozi Ezike said before turning her back to wipe away tears during a daily press briefing with Gov. J.B. Pritzker on Friday.

I know one thing for sure. Because of my COPD I watch the Ohio "dashboard" on covid very close, and in mid September the rate of cases was going down. Now the rate appears to be going up in September.! Unless I've gone senile, they changed it in October.!! Man, That's just wrong.! :(

Even the elderly and sick have what? over a 90% chance of surviving- 94% i think it is? That’s massive- heck, with cancer- they offer a ‘mop up’ treatment after the initial chemo that only offers like a 6-7% success rate, and people jump on that knowing it will be their best chance at long term survival- and the world is scared witless when the reality is that 99.96% of the people are gonna survive the virus just fine?
Heck, even sick people stand a massively great chance of surviving-
