First I saw a article about Utah overwhelmed last week and now El Paso. Covid boogie man before the election? And why tw0 weeks? WTF is staying home for two weeks going to do??
(Excerpt) Read more at breitbart.com ...
covid scare is the most powerful weapon the demoncrats have this year
If El Paso wants to suppress Covid they need to stop going across the border into Mexico and bringing it back. If they are worried about hospitals they need to set up Covid hospitals and leave the other Covid free to take care of other patients.
Since when does Breitbart take AP’s word for anything?!
And this article is useless for anything other than scaring people without more info.
In Texas the heaviest concentrations of Covid outbreaks are along the Mexican border.
Estados Stupidos will pay for the coverage.
Cause more businesses to go under. My favorite deli just closed (for good) - also favorite take-out/delivery sandwich place.
They have had MONTHS to prepare.
Mexican Americans and illegals.
Close the borders.
Border town. Highest rates of infection in Arizona? Yuma and Nogales. Even Douglas is above average.
Give us a list of people being denied treatment due to the allegedly overwhelmed hospitals.
Need more info about El Paso patients. In Utah, it turned out that Wuflu patients were about 30% of ICU beds. Most of the other beds were filled with people who had delayed treatment because of the lockdown.
Oh, the tyrannical morons truly believe that if they lock everything down for two weeks the Chinese Covid Cooties will give up and go away.
I see these stories periodically and I go to the state portal and don’t see anything that suggests this is so. El Paso is in Texas Trauma Area L which has 1,236 total staffed beds, of which 282 are 282 are available, including 32 open ICU beds. So it appears it’s busy - 80% capacity full very level of busy - but not overwhelmed. That doesn’t mean a given hospital individually isn’t full but there are open staffed beds in the area that people can be moved to.
It’s been decades since I’ve been in El Paso, but large numbers of people legally cross the border there every day. (This isn’t to say that illegals don’t cross as well). That said, conditions in Ciudad Juarez are much more conducive for the spread of highly contagious airborne diseases than El Paso. No doubt they are bringing the disease in with them.
I live here in El Paso, Juarez is a bloated tick on the Underbelly of El Paso. On Thursday nights the traffic is jammed up with all the family members going to visit cousins and Grandmas, then bringing the crap home with them. The boarders need to be shut down for a while. Also thinking that the Virus has mutated and become more contagious. Never forget what China has done to us and the World.
Virus has mutated and become more contagious.
The infection rate locally keeps rising, but the death rate is going down. Half of the deaths here have been in long-term facilities.
