WI absentee update:
1,333,843 ballots cast = 45% pct of 2016 turnout. Dane Co.is 1st county where 50% of reg. voters have now voted and the top turnouts so far (as pct of reg voters):
Dane 50.2
Ozaukee 45.7
Waukesha 43.7
Brown 43.2
Washington 40.1
Door 39.8
La Crosse 39.7
MKE 39.6
(see below for translation)
Make no mistake, Wisconsin Republicans are turning out. The better news is that SUBURBAN Republicans are turning out strong.
FYI, Dane Co. is the home of the U. of Wis. at Madison. The Karen professors requested a ton of absentee ballots because it's "not safe" to show up at a polling place. Bad news for Democrats: the suburban WOW counties are showing more "new voters" voting early than Dane Co., THE LOCATION OF A COLLEGE TOWN. That's correct. A county with a huge COLLEGE TOWN inside of it is showing a smaller % of "new voters" voting early than the suburban counties around Milwaukee.

Is the college in lockdown?? Dems are having a HUGE problem because many universities are closed!!
Just shocked at the leftist drivel that showed up all over the place.
Not just leftist - full on Khmer Rouge politics.
Universities need defunding. If we are going to cancel student debt, then cancel these professors insane salaries and retirement plans as well.
You can’t organize lefty students if they are not on campus.
Somebody up there must want the President re-elected. :-)
FYI, I should have written that Dane has a slightly lower % of “first time” and “infrequent” voters (combination of the two) than the WOW counties. The point is still the same: A college town should have more first time/infrequent voters than a suburb.
The new voters are very important and now that early in-person voting has started in earnest, we’ll get a good idea who’s benefiting from them
But the data also says Dane is leading all counties with percentage of its 2016 vote totals.
How many students are in town at the University of Wisconsin? Are they taking courses over the internet? I heard the other day that most students are not in State College PA (PSU). There's not get out the vote effort because they are dispersed back home. I'm not sure how big the student body is at Wisconsin (Madison), but at PSU in State College, there are 23k under grads and 15k graduate/PhD students. I suspect like most young people if they are not herded to the polls by someone they have better things to do with their time. Even if it is 1,000 or so non-votes, it makes a big difference in a tight election. I suspect that number is higher in PA and most states for that matter. A lot of the directional and state universities are also doing remote learning. School by school it really adds up.
UW is in session all over he state, with students on campus. As to whether theyll vote is undetermined
“Even if it is 1,000 or so non-votes, it makes a big difference in a tight election.”
Ha... Ha... Ha... I guess the big DUmmies forgot about that part.
Can we be confidence these suburban Republican women are voting the right way?
Since schools are closed wouldn’t they be at home in the suburbs with mom?
On the 10/25/2020 broadcast of ABC’s This Week with George Stephanopoulis the guy from Axios claims that because Trump’s campaign isn’t spending much ad money in Wisconsin, Trump has given up on Wisconsin. But Trump has campaigned in Wisconsin this month. Dane County total early vote still has 60% of 2016 turnout. I’m worried about that because Waukesha (52%) and Ozaukee (54%) are behind Dane County in terms of percentage of 2016 turnout so far.
Still working your heart out to undermine the GOP efforts, huh? I missed your replies to the requested information that I posted about AZ, CO and national GOTV efforts on another thread. Hopefully you’ll find time to read them, since you’re so eager for some good Republican news. [wink]

1) All across the country, the voters who are the ones who are most likely to request mail-in ballots are affluent, liberal women. It is no shock that Dane Co. would be the “absentee ballot capital” of Wisconsin.
2) Republicans have been less likely to request mail ballots. Early voting just started this week, so Rs are catching up to Ds quickly. In other words, Ds built an artificial lead in mail ballots that is now being over-powered by in-person early voting by Rs.
3) The Dems should be worried about Milwaukee more than we should be concerned about Dane.
Trump will take Wisconsin.
Since schools are closed wouldnt they be at home in the suburbs with mom?

Because the “college organizers” have been neutered, this will cut into the Dems numbers. It already has, which is reflected by Rs out-registering Ds all over the country. Also, many of these students at UW are from Illinois, Ohio, Indiana, etc., so we would prefer for them to vote in those states. Anyone with a college-age kid will tell you that they need to be reminded 15 times to vote, even if they are passionate about politics.
If this person was from Axios then he has zero credibility - big lefty site and disconnected from whats really happening outside of the Beltway. I watched President Trumps weekend rally in WI, it would be news to Trump that hes given up on WI. Its all about juicing turnout thru Nov 3rd.
Can we be confidence these suburban Republican women are voting the right way?

In the WOW counties. Yes. In the Philly suburbs, less so.
