I live in the northern part of the toe of Louisiana. We’ve been lucky, but the west has been devastated thus year. I feel so sorry for them. I can’t remember a year that we have gone through the alphabet and into the roman alphabet. Hopefully the next 4 years will be kind to the northern gulf states. 8>)
2005 (infamous for Katrina, Rita, Wilma) was the first year the Greek alphabet was needed to name storms. Incidentally, Zeta was the last named tropical storm in 2005, assigned Zeta on December 30.
