while I will be thrilled to see a moon colony and Mars visit or colony, I doubt these should really be at the top of a campaign list.
restoring the jobs that DNC/Democratic governors and mayors have taken away in the last 5 months should, imho, be top of the promise list.
cleaning up the DNC,releasing it from the Satanic SorozNazi/IslamoNazi/Communist cabal’s control .....letting D voters have their “liberal” party back ... you know, the one that many of us disagreed with on policies but that was still not patently anti-American, anti-Christian, anti-Jewish, and so damned immoral on key social issues, the party that you probably (and I for sure) would not choose to support or vote for, but at least would not sell out America or hurl such contempt on our constitutional civil liberties

A moon base is not idiotic, and is fairly doable. In fact, I think a moon base makes a lot more sense than the International space station. Mars is turning out to be much more difficult.

More than that, it is a national interest. All a Chinese colony in the moon has to do, is to use a large cannon or catapult from the moon to hurl large boulders towards the earth. The kinetic impact would be similar to a small atomic bomb.
Defeating the moon’s gravity is so easy a handgun bullet will orbit the moon. A joke is that if you shoot a gun in the moon you have to duck so you won’t shoot yourself in the back.
The way to avoid having the USA pummeled from orbit is to have a presence in the moon.
Everyone knows that both parties are fighting to the death to get the votes of the science-nerd voting bloc which will obviously determine the outcome of this election. Brilliant, RNC!
It almost sounds like Trump wants to take a break and would prefer to let Biden (aka Harris) have the next four years. Maybe Trump will surprise me by coming up with some kind of late-October Surprise, but I doubt it.
Biden's lead in the RCP general election polls average is now up to 8.1 points. On this same day in 2016, Hillary's lead dropped to 5.5 points. So Biden is almost 50% ahead of where Hilarious was in 2016. And Trump calls Biden the "worst candidate in the history of Presidential politics." So, nice job, RNC!
I hate to see how much it would cost to have a panoramic view of Earth, pretty much like having a beach front view I guess.

I doubt that will be possible in my lifetime. Casually said you ask why? It is Too Far. Travel time and fuel issues. It is not a simple matter to plot the path. And timing is everything. The window of opportunity is not always open. It will be shooting a moving target.
The supplies logistics are incredibly difficult.

If the Chinese have the technology and resources to build a catapult on the moon that can accurately launch objects to hit a spot on a target 250,000 miles away, a spot which is also rotating along the same axis as China at 26000 miles an hour, they're not going to use those resources and technology to build a catapult on the moon.
A permanent lunar base would be fantastic and we could very well end up depending on it for our defense.
Btw, do you not think we’re capable of building the greatest infrastructure here and a lunar outpost?
