The canard that JFK was the victim of a right-wing "climate of hate" that permeated Dallas began within minutes of his death and continues to this very day. This was the theme of books such as Dallas Public and Private (New York: Grossman, 1964), Dallas 1963 by Bill Minutaglio and Steven Davis (Boston: Twelve, 2014) and Nut Country: Right-Wing Dallas and the Birth of the Southern Strategy (Chicago: University of chicago Press, 2015).
Trouble is, a supposed "climate of hate" generated by "right-wing extremists" had zero, zilch, nada to do with JFK's assassination, as the killer was a Marxist-Leninist.
Hence all the conspiracy garbage.
Kennedy was already ginning up a war in Vietnam.
JFK said, We’ve got trouble in “Que-burr!”
i was in 2nd grade i remember the duck and cover drills, and hushed conversations between my parents...
Might be?? He was for the Gold standard, and a near balanced Budget, and supply side Tax Cuts. He would be a right winger today. He was also against the mic.
There was still one last way to victory: Repudiate the agreement and send the marines to overthrow Castro in 1992 after the fall of the Soviet government with which that agreement had been made. Or do it today in retaliation for Crimea.
Wish I were President. Maybe Trump if he is reelected.
