Two things:

Mental health issues are the gateway for satanic possession by a demon or two.

The Rev Thomas is a walking advertisement for why the C of E is on the way to becoming part of the National Historical Trust and why Western culture is a hollow vessel waiting to be crushed.

I was in Mass a few months ago when a perfectly normal seeming girl started making weird noises and yelling to disrupt the Mass. The cops were called, and it was clear she was having mental issues, which was very sad.

But the specific things she was saying and doing were not just random crazy person talk. They seemed very focused on what was happening on the altar.

Uhm, isn't forgiveness, above and beyond what's expected of a mere civilian, sort the Rev. Thomas' JOB?

Wailing on this squirrel with a cricket bat, until his brains were all over the floor, is pretty much outside a C of E reverend's Prime Directive.

Strong, self-confident religions attract new followers. Weak, self-defensive, guilt-ridden religions lose followers. The Church of England is the latter.

Seems like this mercy thing does not apply equally to all. In the recent Pope Francis movie, he claimed President Trump was not a Christian because of the Wall (ignoring the pro life and other pro Christian issues he has supported). “Seamless garment argument”. Of course the same pope would state “who am I to judge?” when asked about homosexual activity. If you’re going to do the “who to judge?” thing do it for all. Of course if satan is controlling the narrative, no discussion is necessary. Deflect from Jesus and be a proponent for secular materialism. Ugh! God bless all FR.

A new low in western self-hatred and self-destruction of a culture that was responsible for all advances in science and human rights.

Given that the article makes it clear thrice that the Revd Thomas is a Baptist Church, not a Church of England minister, the relevance of the C of E to the story is not easy to see.
