They put my wife on one. We were in the mall and cops came over to us, separated us, and started asking questions because she was covered with bruises. One of the best experiences with the police I ever had, God bless them, she did look like I whaled the tar out of her and looked a lot like these pics of Mitch.

It can be the combination. When I first went on blood thinners I would suffer subcutaneous bleeds with any rough contact, like bumping into something. It almost seems like I have adjusted to the blood thinner and don't see that as often.

In McConnell's case it might be that they changed his blood thinner or increased the dosage and then he suffered a fall. The resulting marks look much worse than they are.
