I’ll bet another reason they don’t want them back is a bet on the children getting amnesty and becoming the anchor relatives for their eventual migration.
There are multiple examples on Twitter of liberals thinking that Trump was talking about literal coyotes ... as in the kind that chase roadrunners in cartoons.
He might not have known that...its not talked about a lot any more...it needs to be though...
When Brazil people were still allowed sanctuary status with no questions asked, we were catching groups of minors (8 years on up) that numbered in the 100s crossing the Rio Grande. It was sickening how the coyotes treated these kids.
We stopped busting the groups because so many kids were getting lost for days. We would single out the coyotes and roll them up and the group remained intact for the most part.

I thought it meant literal coyotes also.
But I had no quarrel with it - I just referenced “Over the river and through the wood to Grandfather’s house we go.” The song lyrics go on to say, “To carry the sleigh
Through white and drifted snow.”
The trees (wood) and the snow didn’t take the family to Grandfather’s house but they went through them to get there.
