FRESNO, CA (KMJ) – Governor Gavin Newsom is slammed as a local and state effort is announced to fight the surge in violent crime in Fresno.
There was no mistaking the message of Fresno County District Attorney Lisa Smittcamp, “The blood of the children being shot by out-of-control gang members in our city is on your hands, and the hands of every person who does not make public safety a priority.”
The DA – calling out Gov. Gavin Newsom for using the pandemic to open cell doors and release violent offenders from prison, on this, the same day that San Quentin Officials are deciding whether to appeal the state’s release of more than 1,100 inmates. Smittcamp says the county is lacking bed space to house local criminals.

That’s such a shame, it’s a beautiful state and all the red areas are held hostage by San Francisco and Los Angeles.
Must be a DA that soros missed.
Looking at the way people - and businesses - are fleeing the state - two of my neighbors recently announced moves to Texas (both vote RED) - there won’t be anyone left to fund the welfare state that is California.
With criminals being released, they’ll have no one left to prey on except themselves.
