Right.

Getting the gov’t out of the picture as much as possible also reduces the opportunities for corruption.

I decided to do a little research. In WV legislators are shooting themselves in the foot. https://www.publicnewsservice.org/2019-06-10/energy-policy/wind-solar-hit-new-records-critics-say-wv-lawmakers-ignore-it/a66749-1

Coal-mining in West Virginia totaled 13,988 jobs in 2019, with 10,647 jobs located in underground mines and 3,3341 jobs dedicated to surface mines. Based on underground coal mine production, West Virginia is one of the top states in the country. In the Appalachian region, where West Virginia is located, there were nearly 30,000 coal mining jobs in 2018, up from nearly 29,600 in 2017.

More on job prospects in WV. https://www.cbsnews.com/news/coal-west-virginia-fight-over-green-jobs-cbsn-originals/

https://www.eesi.org/papers/view/fact-sheet-jobs-in-renewable-energy-energy-efficiency-and-resilience-2019

From above link. US solar jobs in 2018 about 335,000.
The Solar Foundation reports long-term growth: between 2013 and 2018, solar employment grew 11 percent annually—six times faster than overall U.S. employment. Both USEER and The Solar Foundation defined a full-time solar job as one held by an individual who spends at least 50 percent of their time on solar-related work. According to the BLS, solar photovoltaic installers is the fastest growing occupation across the entire economy.

From above link for 2018. The American Wind Energy Association (AWEA) reports 114,000 jobs in the wind power industry. IRENA corroborates this estimate, also reporting 114,000 wind jobs. AWEA specifies that these jobs are spread across all 50 states, which means there are factory and manufacturing jobs even in states that do not have wind farms. The industry is growing, especially for turbine service technicians, which was the second-fastest growing occupation across the entire economy in 2018.

So wind and solar have the two top growing occupations across the entire economy. Since these are outside jobs they might be more Covd proof than most jobs.

The real answer is to colonize outer space, where you have unlimited direct, unfiltered solar power, that can be transmitted wireless-ly, as per the one man smarter than Einstein, per Einstein, Nikola Tesla. If China dominates outer space first, they are the winner civilization.

The biggest irony is that it would actually make air quality worse by driving energy production overseas where there are far fewer restrictions.

So..

Consumers would get price gouged.
Many jobs and billions in domestic investment returns would go overseas.
Our national security would suffer from the loss of energy independence.
Air quality would worsen.

Democrats are morons.

When I heard Biden saying people were heating their homes with barrels of oil, I couldn’t believe he was that out of touch. Most heating is done with natural gas, electricity from natural gas and electricity from coal fired electric generators. This also includes hydroelectric and nuclear. We need oil for gasoline and other derivatives.

The vast majority of people in the Commie Northeast heat their home’s with oil.

What would replace the petrodollar? Bottle caps perhaps since the implosion would be spectacular.

Well, of course wind and solar are growing fast. Taxpayers are funding them hugely, and coal, for example, is discouraged at every turn. WV’s coal employment numbers looked reasonably good mainly because the economy overall was booming.

Biden would transition from oil, but we will pay the price, and not just money. Yeah, big words alright.

Zero emissions by 2025.

Then, a few minutes later he said 2035.

Lots of Jobs in the Oil and Gas industry. Biden wants to kill it. If he isn’t toast, he should be!

So Joe wants to end the oil industry. Thousands of products come from oil. All of those will go bye bye. He has to be nuts.

Trump should have said, "Get rid of oil?! This isn't about the ICE and cars, how are people going to feel without mascara, soap, shampoo, plastic, tires, how we make our clothes, etc....Petroleum, Oil, and lubricants are used in making everything!"

It never ceases to amaze me how they can believe this impossible utopian crap. Trucking, Air travel, Shipping... We all will starve to death first. I guess then we really won’t need it if we all starve.

I am familiar with the old theories of abiogenic oil. They peaked in the early 80's and were a counter to peak oil. But both theories turned out to be mainly wrong. We found new reserves, developed better extraction and found a small amount of replenishment. Replenishment theories have been abandoned everywhere except Russia. It's too slow. Recent Russian papers don't quantify the rate but it's obvoiusly too slow.
