But this major general wrote it! What does it matter what outlet published it?
My son is a USAF pilot. Did you teach him? 😁😆😅🤪
I figured as much. Who goes from UPT, to public affairs. I wonder how a non rated officer, got two stars?
I dont necessarily think those who wash out of UPT, are stupid, though I did know an ATC officer (also UPT washout) in Vietnam WAS pretty stupid. USAF finally figured it out, and he was RIFed. I washed out numerous enlisted people out of ATC. Same thing. Doesnt mean they were stupid, though a couple were. Not everyone has the hands to fly, or be a controller.
I flew the T-38 simulator, at DLF (Laughlin) as a Ssgt. The T-38 IP told me I should get my degree, go to OTS and pilot training, cuz he said I had great hands. I stayed enlisted, but my son is an officer (OTS) and is in his final 5 weeks of RTU training. 👍
What I want to know is, how and why did Sully Sullenberger get woke? I knew 5 other USAFA graduates, in Sullys class. I am only in contact with one of them, and he said he had no idea why.
My son would probably resign his commission. 😁
I was in the USAF from 67 to 87. They were giving special treatment long before 1990.
This guy was sponsored all the way up the ladder. One support assignment at an operational unit. I knew plenty of other officers who were sponsored up the ladder but this is blatant. I believed academy because even not making through pilot advanced training and having a flight record in training that must have had him disqualified to fly, he still was moved immediately up the ranks. Now, A&M and a degree in journalism, yet they still sent him to DINFOS for the officer training in journalism...he had high level sponsors and connections. I went through DINFOS as an enlisted in 1970 and the officer side of the school was not a lot different other than they focused somewhat more on the journalism regulations for the officers. Why with a journalism degree from A&M did he have to be sent there? He moved up quickly.
Very possibly. If he flew the Viper or used a certain modern helmet that was developed in Israel most recently ask him if he remembers a very tall Israeli.
He has never had any Israeli instructors. He is in New Mexico right now, still training.
I met Amir Tsarfati, former governor of Jericho. 👍

81-09 for me. I saw a bit of it in aircraft maintenance. 1990 is when I went to pilot training. They asked us early on if we have high ranking military or civil service relatives and kept track of minorities, women, and the politically connected.
Students in those categories got LOTS of extra chances.
This guy has 29 years in the service, trained as a fighter pilot, but has never had an assignment as a pilot. What makes him qualified to tell anyone who needs to be recruited as a pilot?
So?
75% of NBA players are black.
5.56mm
Ah, white sands (presumably). Been there a few million times.
He should go to the rocket exhibit. Cool except very apologetic about VV Braun
I think he washed out of pilot training. I saw his picture. He has no pilot wings.
Actually, Holloman. He has already been to White Sands. 👍
I would very much like to stress that point right there, the most capable... Not the tallest, or the skinniest, prettiest, lightest or darkest skin color or not even most politically connected.. THE MOST CAPABLE..!!
Don't we all know what equality really is?? It's HONESTY.! If we cant be honest while applying the rules, then equality doesn't stand a chance... :(
