I completely disagree with Hemingway on this. Perfect case in point:

This confirmation was supposed to be apocalyptic. That’s what I predicted.

This is where she was obviously wrong. I, on the other hand, have been predicting for weeks that this would be an uneventful confirmation process.

The GOP hasn’t gotten any smarter or tougher in these battles. The difference between Kavanaugh and Barrett is that Barrett is a smart, harmless-seeming woman. The political optics of opposing her nomination in the weeks leading up to an election would be awful. That’s why the Democrats have made their opposition more about the process than about the nominee.

I doubt that the Dirty Dems and their Media artillery slime battalions have completely given up.
