If I'm a pollster, and a scumbag (almost entirely overlapping circles) ... I would sell sell sell whatever result my client wanted, and then in the final 10 days or so, release real results, so that next year I can claim to b an accurate pollster, and then sell sell sell results again right up until the final week of whatever event is next.

That's my theory on the pollsters. They are lefty to begin with, but basically are paid advertisers up until such time as their results can be measured against reality -> i.e. the election itself.

That's why they are crazy and that's why they will narrow as the forces of reality make fake results more expensive right up until the final day.
