I haven't watched CNN or MSNBC since Bush was president.
I don't gotta watch anything from AT&T or Comcast and I don't.

“We are going to bring Google to its knees. “

i think there’s a good chance that will happen ... especially with SCOTUS finally going to be solidly in conservative hands ...

I think it all depends on who wins the election as to what happens here. I guess I’ve become jaded.

Texas has taken its own anti trust action against Google today, which is quite separate from the DOJ ction.
Plus another 11 red states joined the DOJ action today. This case is not going away.

Break up Google, Twitter and Facebook. These companies have abused their near monopoly status to directly interfere with the political process in this country. It is unconscionable that they have done this, and very clear that this must never happen again.

Google delenda est!

Same here. Maybe it’s been a year already. I’m enjoying it.

why are my fellow FReepers ho hum

Because these stories never, ever, never gain any traction other than the initial release.

There was a huge broohaha over Hitlery's emails and broken laws. Where'd that one go? Nowhere. It's been buried and we no longer hear of it.

There was a huge broohaha over Epstein's Lolita Express and bill klinton. Where'd that one go? Nowhere. It was buried and we no longer hear of it.

This one is going nowhere too. The enemy controls our media, entertainment, public schools, mainline religious denominations, Kongress and SCOTUS. They protect their own.

Google is the default search on every single android and even iphones. And you can't even remove it.

Not just that, but the base setup of Android phones generally require some kind of Google login/account setup to even function. GMaps is on most phones, not just Androids, and was even the default for Apple for a while because their maps sucked so bad.

If you own a Nest thermostat, visit YouTube at all, check traffic with Waze (Google Maps above), have pictures on Picassa, have a GMail email account, use SketchUp 3D modeling software (free), ever go to a bank or other secure website that uses the stupid reCAPTCHA login crap, use the Chrome browser or own a Chromebook, own a Motorola phone, or soon, use a FitBit, then you are being processed through a Google company. And those are just a few of the more commonly known names, Google owns a tons more of behind-the-scenes type companies; to where a huge portion of internet sites in some way used or currently use some kind of Google product. If you're on the internet, you've put data into Google's system.

If you're on FreeRepublic, you're interacting with Google. Either JimRob specifically, or his host uses Urchin for their site analytics, which is owned by, you guessed it, Google.
Don't believe it? Press F12 (On Pale Moon, FireFox, Chrome, and I think IE also, not sure about other browsers) to open up the page inspector / Developer Tools subwindow. That'll show you the html the site submits to your browser to display the page, and one of FR's scripts is "google-analytics.com/urchin.js".

Amazon will buy Alphabet.

What makes you think that? If Google's getting hit with major anti-trust suits, I highly doubt another massive company in a similar market area would want to own them...

Also, both companies have a market cap of barely around $1T. Based on a quick websearch, Google has about 3x the cash-on-hand that Amazon does (~$50B vs $160B). I don't think either of them could really buy the other anytime soon!
