Not saying that these rioters shouldn’t be shot - I think they should be.
I agree that aggressive law enforcement would put an end to this, and I’m
all for it.
But the Kent State shootings didn’t stop anything - it just made the campus demonstrations all around the country much worse.
Unfortunately I’m old enough to remember it as I was a college kid at the time.
The trouble with Kent State was that only 8 were killed and as I recall, none wounded or maimed for life.
A few hundred dead or maimed will send a message
A good lawyer paid by the riot inciter is no good for you if you are dead
