I think Fauci is part of Trump's 3-D chess board. He serves a purpose. Trump knows we don't like Fauci. He knows his rally goers don't like Fauci. But he also knows it won't stop of from voting for him. Fauci is there for those overly concerned about the China Virus. He is part of his administration and that shows some of overly concerned that Trump is doing the right things. Fauci also serves as a constant foil for Trump - and we like that part. If Fauci is gone, then who is going to fill that void at this time? It is a little late for find someone else that is so widely known.
Jeez, I can believe I wrote that. I can't stand Fauci. But I need several juicy rationalizations per day.

Move their critical functions to the US Marshals, and if any fbi agents want to transfer, they must first pass a polygraph.
